The council’s usual Saturday market in Sheringham’s Station Approach Car Park will be complemented by a Christmas-themed market on Saturday, December 9.
A range of vendors will be present at the market, which is scheduled to open at 8 a.m. and close at 3:30 p.m. Artisanal crafts, refreshments, jewelry, pottery, and health care items will all be sold by these vendors.
During the holiday season, the Sheringham Christmas Market is a terrific place to support the local economy by buying gifts or presents from independent or smaller local shops.
Unbelievably, supporting local businesses by shopping at their shops, market stalls, or charity shops keeps 63p in the local economy for every £1 spent with them!
Since small, local businesses account for the majority of employment in the nation, supporting them generates jobs for the community.
Cllr Liz Wethington, who oversees the Community, Leisure, and Outreach portfolio, said: “People travel from a considerable distance to visit Sheringham Market, which is a beloved and indispensable part of the town. It is a tremendous attraction.” The fact that there are more regular booths and that additional events, like the Christmas Market, are being planned is fantastic. Sheringham Town Center is a lively, fascinating independent main street, and the town is greatly aided by the market.
I would like to thank the officers and market traders for their support of this new and creative strategy because I recognize the importance of supporting both our markets and independent local companies for the benefit of the whole community.
